July 23rd, 2001 - Shaun, Ricky, LA and I traveled to Wonthaggi Vic to explore an antique coal mine.

After the mining trip, we stopped for 'tea' (supper) on the way home."Red Rooster" is Shaun's favourite fast food restaurant. It has broiled chicken, not fried. The kids think it is a great treat.

Ricky's friend, John Majdi, from Houston, was missing Ricky one morning so I said I would take a picture of him. John saw the pic and laughed cuz it was a very familiar site to him-- Ricky looking out of the crack of the bathroom door during his 20 minute visits to the 'jon'.

(The "yip" you hear in the movie isn't Wrinkles yelping but it is Charlie. We shut him in the bedroom for a sec while we filmed. Otherwise, Charlie would have rolled right over the wrinkles!)

The Worst Day in American History. September 11, 2001. No incident in my life time has left me more scared or more sad.

SEPTEMBER 21-23, 2001
The events on September 11, 2001 changed our hearts forever but we continue to do things as a family. The US government has encouraged us to resume
living life as usual. Ricky was off on his big Central Australia trip.

We started off the day September 28th by meeting Jane and Cecil then going off to the huge gigantic Royal Melbourne Show.

SEPTEMBER 21-OCTOBER 2, 2001. Ricky and 40 of his closest friends from his school travel to Central Australia for the trip of a lifetime. |
