The Twin Gums are located on the south side of Larapinta Drive between the Simpsons Gap and Standley
Chasm turnoffs and are a popular photo subject.
With the Western MacDonnell Ranges as a backdrop they were made prominent when aboriginal artist
Albert Namatjira used them as a subject of one of his paintings.
