The pottery shop is a fully productive retail store. There were four foot-powered potter's wheels for the public to try. Leslie Anne discovered she was meant to sit on the seat, like riding a horse, and kick the wheel. The slip (muddy clay) got all over her hands as she tried to get the clay into the shape of a vase or something. She gave it a good shot :-)

The professional potter was busy making vases and sugar bowls and cups and such which stock their retail aspect. There was a lovely tall, heavy square vase which we felt would be perfect for my mother in law's Christmas present. It was the biggest one in the store and will hold her heavy Protea flowers.
